Combine Northern Tanzania’s iconic wildlife areas with a relaxing Zanzibar beach holiday. This private 11-day journey visits Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro before four nights by the Indian Ocean.

Day 1

Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

Meet your transfer driver at Kilimanjaro International Airport, receive a warm introduction to Tanzania and continue to your Arusha accommodation for dinner and rest.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire for lunch and an afternoon game drive among elephant herds, acacia woodland and open savannah. Dinner and overnight at a safari lodge.
Day 3

Tarangire to Lake Manyara

Travel to Lake Manyara National Park, celebrated for rich birdlife, hippos and its Rift Valley escarpment. Continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4

Serengeti National Park

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives across one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full game drive and picnic lunch. Look for black rhino, flamingos and the extraordinary concentration of wildlife on the crater floor.
Day 6

Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara

Return to Lake Manyara for an afternoon game drive with opportunities to see hippos, abundant birds and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Overnight at a camp or lodge.
Day 7

Lake Manyara to Zanzibar

Enjoy breakfast, continue to Arusha for lunch and transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your Zanzibar flight. On arrival, meet our representative and transfer to your beach resort.
Day 8

Zanzibar beach stay

Relax on Zanzibar’s white-sand beach and enjoy the resort at your own pace.
Day 9

Zanzibar at leisure

Another unhurried island day. Optional Stone Town, spice farm or Prison Island excursions can be arranged at extra cost.
Day 10

Zanzibar at leisure

Spend your final full day by the Indian Ocean. An optional sunset dhow cruise can be arranged at extra cost.
Day 11

Zanzibar departure

Transfer to Zanzibar Airport in time for your onward flight to Kilimanjaro, Nairobi or your international connection.
